Sony announced today the second batch of games to be added to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium libraries in April 2025, as part of the company's ongoing efforts to update content and enhance the subscriber experience by offering a diverse selection of both modern and classic titles.

This update features the addition of new games for subscribers to the Extra and Premium tiers, as well as updates to titles released in the previous month, with the previous games still available for subscribers.

PlayStation Plus Extra Games for April 2025:

• Blue Prince (PS5)
• EA Sports PGA Tour (PS5)
• Hogwarts Legacy (PS4, PS5)
• Lost Records: Bloom & Rage Tape 2 (PS5)
• Battlefield 1 (PS4)
• PlateUp! (PS4, PS5)

Classic PlayStation Plus Premium Games:

• Alone in the Dark 2 (PS1)
• War of the Monsters (PS2)

Game library varies by time, country/region, and plan. PS Plus is subject to a recurring subscription fee, charged automatically until cancellation. 

All of these games will be available for download starting next Tuesday, April 15, 2025, Sony also noted that games added last month to PS Plus Extra and Premium, including Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, UFC 5, and Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions, are still available for subscribers.

Additionally, last month saw the release of exclusive content for PS Plus Premium members, including classic titles like Arcade Paradise VR for PlayStation VR2 owners, as well as three titles from the iconic Armored Core series.

Moreover, current subscribers to PS Plus Essential and other plans can also access this month’s games, which include:

• RoboCop: Rogue City (PS5)
• The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (PS5/PS4)
• Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory (PS4)

This update coincides with Sony’s announcement to change the direction of PS Plus Essential starting in January 2026. Going forward, the service will no longer include PS4 games, focusing solely on offering PS5 titles.

With this strategy, Sony aims to provide a more modern experience that aligns with the current generation of gaming hardware and software.
